Tourism Challenges and Opportunities in Uzbekistan

Abstract

Uzbekistan, a country located in Central Asia, has a gorgeous history and culture that attracts tourists from around the world. However, tourism in Uzbekistan still faces several challenges, as well as bureaucratic hurdles, lack of infrastructure, and limited marketing efforts. Despite these challenges, the country has great prospective for tourism development, particularly with its unique cultural heritage, natural attractions, and growing economy. This research explores the challenges and opportunities of tourism in Uzbekistan, with an emphasis on policies and initiatives that can support viable tourism development.
