Abstract

Nowadays, the demand for the processing of natural resources is increasing in the world. According to experts, it is an urgent issue to reduce the factors that negatively affect the environment and human health through the processing of natural resources, as well as to offer economical and economically efficient technologies for humanity. Currently, there is a significant shortage of fiber semi-finished products for the cellulose and paper industry of the Republic. The use of semi-finished products imported from abroad causes an increase in the cost of finished products and, as a result, a decrease in the competitiveness of this product and the profitability of production. The purpose of this research is to solve the problems of removing color and increasing the whiteness of the fiber by separating the dyes and impurities from it, while maintaining the quality of the fiber. Based on the conducted studies, it was determined that the degree of polymerization of the waste paper mass decreases with the increase in the concentration of the oxidant. Oxidizers first affect the functional groups located on the surface of the cellulose fiber, and then slowly penetrate into the fiber. By deliberately choosing oxidants, it was determined that a particular functional group in the molecule can be oxidized, based on its reactivity, and the conditions for the process were proposed.
