This article states the presence of a full-fledged theory of criminal procedural functions in criminal procedural science. At the same time, despite the continued interest of scientists in the criminal procedure area of the same name, there is a lack of research aimed at further development of this theory in the conditions of a significantly changed functional and typological model of the criminal process in Russia. In addition, the article highlights the problems of the theory of criminal procedural functions as one of the important areas of science.
