Abstract

The article presents the results of the effect of the alkali and electrolyte concentration and properties of the dyeing process on the dyeing of cotton-silk mixed fiber fabrics with active dyes. It is known that active dyeing dyes create a strong covalent bond in the fiber, but are hydrolyzed in an alkaline environment and lose the property of covalent bonding to the fiber. Electrolyte increases the efficiency of sorption of the dye on the fiber surface and increases its aggregation in the solution. The results of the research showed that when two types of electrolytes NaCl and Na2SO4 were studied at different concentrations, the degree of binding of the dye to the fiber was high at the NaCl concentration of 20 g/l, the utilization rate of the dye was 83.5%, and the color intensity index was 6.6. Based on the study of the effect of the alkaline agent, at a concentration of Na2CO3 of 2 g/l, the utilization rate of the dye was 79.2%, and the color intensity index was 7.0, so these concentrations were considered acceptable.
